Environmental impacts of water[bottled]

Okay, so we've all heard that water makes up what and what percentage of the earth, and our bodies. So its definitely important, right? But even though I'm one of the few who constantly only drinks water(among my friends) does anyone realizes that we pay more for bottled water than gas?

a philosophical drop-in

Just found this interesting bit on the core site and wanted to share it with you all. I've been thinking a lot lately about the need for space and quiet in our lives and this seemed to touch on those issues. Do they apply to the life of a designer? Actually, this recent tangential thought was prompted by watching Miazaki's 'My Neighbor Totoro' which, unlike so many US/Disney animated movies allowed for quiet and space in-between action and dialogue.
